Proprietary, custom shaped set of aluminium profiles, which has been especially designed by R&D team, for using it with patented sliding doors system, manufactured by Terno Scorrevoli.

This combination provided many benefits even on design stage. One of the most important – is a door size. For instance, single door may be up to 2400x1200mm and weight to up to 120kg.

Fixed sets of colors, available for powder coating aluminium profiles, different materials and its combinations for glazing created a variety of combinations.

Additionally has been designed number of mounting options, which add more variations for integrating these doors into already existing, or future interior on the design stage. Due to a fully concealed fixing to the ceiling, these doors can be mounted on, into the opening, or even divide space into separate areas.

Hence, were no doubt of creating this project inside imos. However, this decision has been faced with a different challenges. Many of them has been easily solved, but few of them were fixed in another way. Specially designed MPR components, which were attached to a specific hardware inside imos database, helped in optimising machining process and saving time at each operation step. Furthermore, specially for this project has been developed a set of extra reports for imos. One for accounting system, one for outsource powder coating, one for glazing and the last one ERP system.

Final step of this project – is creating a separate XML catalog, which gives designers flexibility of creating new projects and sending them straight to a factory in a few clicks without any faults.
